Shapes and Shadows

Macro studies of metal: kitchen tools, polished surfaces, and bits of industrial kit photographed up close. Stop looking at them as tools and they start being shapes: ridges, holes, edges, reflections, all dropped against deep shadow. The series moves between clean white light and red and blue gels, finding something theatrical in objects that usually live in a drawer.
